The WaterMax AKQ system is a "3-in-1" water purifier designed for water softening (removal of hardness ions), iron removal, and the elimination of various contaminants from local and municipal water supply systems (wells, artesian wells, etc.). It is intended for water with high iron content and is recommended for installation in water treatment systems in country houses and cottages. This filter has several advantages compared to the "WaterBoss" models. One of the main features is the use of the unique substance Bacteriostat, which prevents the growth of microorganisms inside the filter housing, allowing the resin to be disinfected less frequently or not at all. Additionally, the processor in the WaterMax softener has enhanced capabilities.
The WaterMax AKQ model effectively purifies water containing divalent iron and manganese up to 15 mg/l and hardness up to 31 mg-eq/l, provided that the pH level of the water is 6 or higher, and the temperature is no less than 4°C and no more than 49°C.
The WaterMax AKQ softener is manufactured on modern equipment using non-toxic, safe materials that do not release harmful substances into the water, ensuring uninterrupted system operation for many years. The system consists of two tanks—filtration and salt—connected by a tube. The WaterMax filter, like the WaterBoss, uses Fine class resin, with small granules that provide more water contact compared to standard softeners, which accelerates the ion exchange process. Thanks to the patented flow distribution system, where the resin is compressed between two grids, the purified water flows evenly throughout the resin volume, preventing stagnant zones. This reduces the necessary amount of salt and water for regeneration and shortens the regeneration time. During regeneration, all components of the softener are automatically cleaned. The salt tank is used to restore the resin’s filtration capacity and is filled with purified tablet or granular salt (NaCl).
The WaterMax AKQ filtration tank is divided into three sections:
- Sorbent for iron removal;
- Superfine ion-exchange resin for removing iron, manganese, and hardness salts;
- Bacteriostatic additive Bacteriostat.
The WaterMax AKQ is equipped with a push-button microcontroller with an LCD display that shows the status of the softener, controls regeneration, and allows parameter changes. A unique feature is the way regeneration is performed. The controller keeps track of the water used by day of the week and, based on the analysis of previously collected data and the current day’s indicators, decides whether regeneration is necessary. Depending on the remaining ion-exchange resin, regeneration can start immediately (on-demand) or be delayed. The microcontroller has an autonomous power source, which retains the programmed settings for up to 16 hours in the event of a power outage.
The WaterMax AKQ system package includes:
- Softener unit;
- Salt tank unit;
- Overflow fitting;
- Drainage tube Ø 16 mm, 2.5 m long;
- 1" flexible connection hose with sealing rings;
