Puresin (Puresin) PA510

Puresin PA510 resin is a granular ion exchange material, which is a durable and mechanically stable strongly basic macroporous anion exchanger of type I, with an acrylate matrix and modified into the ionic form Cl-. Externally, the cation exchanger, or so-called "resin", is a multitude of solid and water-insoluble matte-white granules. Puresin PA510 is used for water desalination, in particular, for the removal of organic compounds. It serves as a filter material in backfill water demineralization stations, in the so-called "scavengers", both for domestic and industrial or energy purposes. The manufacturer of this material is the manufacturer of filter materials - Pure Resin Company (China).

Properties and functional features of the ion exchange resin Puresin PA510:

Belonging to the functional group of ion-exchange materials, the Puresin PA510 filling operates on the principle of ion substitution, i.e., exchange, during which the active elements from its structure are released during the filtration process, and the impurities required for removal are absorbed by its granules. In this case, the Puresin PA510 filling is a strongly basic anion exchanger, focused on water purification from organic compounds, and its anion-exchange form indicates the active element Cl-. This means that when water passes through the filler, the forming organic compounds (carbon and silicic acids) are absorbed by the resin, and the Cl- ions displaced from its granules are released and dissolved in water. This ensures effective water softening, when the level of reduction of the total hardness is about 98%.

Also, the anionite Puresin PA510 has a resource - "filter cycle", which determines the estimated volume of purified water before saturation. When saturated, the resin cannot absorb, and therefore its further operation is impossible without reverse ion reduction (regeneration). The resin Puresin PA510 is restored with a concentrated solution of table salt. This is explained by the fact that its regeneration requires compensation of the active element Cl-, and a saturated salt solution contains sodium chloride (NaCl). For this reason, Puresin PA510 requires systematic regeneration, and the design of the water softener must be equipped with a salt (reagent) tank.

Recommendations for the use of anionite Puresin PA510:

  • Use Puresin PA510 under conditions that meet the requirements for the quality and composition of the treated water. If necessary, provide preliminary water treatment.

  • Do not allow oxidation products from pre-filtration (chlorine, ozone or hydrogen peroxide) to enter the filter with filler.

  • Observe the calculated “filter cycle” for the water softener size used and ensure that the regeneration cycle is carried out in a timely manner.

  • Observe the volume and concentration of the regenerating solution required for Puresin PA510.
