Corrosion inhibitor NALCO 2813

NALCO TRI-ACT 2813 effectively reduces maintenance costs of the condensate system.
Completely neutralizes oxidizing gases such as CO2 in the entire steam and condensate system.
Can be used at high temperatures without degradation.
Application of the product minimizes the potential for boiler tube breakage caused by metal corrosion products in the return
condensate.
The product meets the requirements of the US Food and Drug Administration under 21 CFR 173.310 for additives in boiler water where steam may come into direct contact with food.

Using
NALCO TRI-ACT 2813 is designed to protect steam and condensate systems from corrosion.

Dosage
The required dosage of NALCO TRI-ACT 2813 will depend on the chemical composition of the water and the specific parameters of the facility.
Your Nalko representative will recommend the optimal dosage needed to ensure the program is as effective as possible for your specific system conditions.

Innings
NALCO TRI-ACT 2813 must be dispensed through a closed dispensing system.
A closed dispensing system is defined as a system in which a product is transferred from a closed storage vessel to treated water without being exposed to the atmosphere, except in the case of normal ventilation or pressure relief.
NALCO TRI-ACT 2813 should be dispensed with rapid mixing and will be distributed throughout the system.

Materials
Do not use aluminum, brass or carbon steel in contact with clean product.
Storage and application equipment (pumps and lines) must be made of polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon or stainless steel.

Appeal
Personal protective equipment such as goggles and rubber gloves is recommended as a standard precaution.
Use the MSDS as the only official source of safety and environmental information.
The product can be stored for a minimum of 12 months from the date of shipment, provided that the original unopened container is preserved and under normal storage conditions.
Protect from freezing and high temperatures.
