The installation is suitable for deionization of water in regions with soft water or as a final deionization after reverse osmosis installations in regions with hard water.

The mobility of the kit and the simplicity of deionizing water make it possible to use it both inside and outside the premises and to produce deionized water by directly connecting the kit to the water supply at the facility.

The volume of deionized water produced depends on the salinity of the tap water and the volume of the selected column.

Resource deionizing resin is calculated by the formula:
                 K x Vcm / TDS out = Vdei,

where K is the resin quality factor. In particular, for the Pure resin PMB101 deionizing resin used in this water deionization kit, K = 20,000;

Vcm is the volume of deionizing resin poured into the column, in liters;

TDSmax - indicator of salinity (mineralization) of the initial water supplied to the unit, in mg / l (ppm);

Vdei - volume of deionized water received at the outlet, in liters.

For example, mineralization of water in St. Petersburg is 60 ppm on average, in general, the water here is very soft. At the same time, water salinity in Moscow is 300ppm on average, i.e. the water is generally hard. The mineralization of groundwater in the same areas and surface water in areas with a hot climate can be one to two orders of magnitude higher.

Thus, when using 10.5 liters of deionizing resin in a sewage treatment plant, it is possible to "produce" sparkling water (c 0.1 ppm or less) in St. Petersburg and other northern cities - up to 3500 liters, in Moscow - 700 liters. In general, for regions with a high salinity of the source water, in order to increase the volume of the obtained deionized water, preliminary demineralization of water is recommended using reverse osmosis plants, which reduce the salt content by 93-95% compared to the initial one.
