WATER QUALITY PROBLEM

Hardness is a set of natural water properties associated with the concentration of alkaline earth metal salts, most often calcium and magnesium salts, in the water. Although hard water is not harmful to human health, it can pose a serious threat to various appliances, such as washing machines, boilers, dishwashers and pipes, by settling in it as scale. When using such water for laundry, a larger amount of detergent is required. Hardness will reduce the service life of sanitary equipment and increase energy consumption.

THE SOLUTION

The solution for domestic and industrial applications is water softening with DOWEX HCR S/S series ion exchange resin filters (reduces scale) regenerated with salt (NaCl). The water softener also efficiently removes iron and manganese.

OPERATION OF FILTERS

In the purification process, a reagent (NaCl, or salt in tablets - granules ) is used, which is used for the regeneration of the filtering material (resin). The rinse water from this facility can be discharged to biological WWTPs (wastewater treatment plants). The AKVAFORS SF series kit consists of a filter column, a control unit and a salt tank. The filter column is filled with ion exchange resin (cationite), which reduces hardness and filters iron. The control unit performs automatic flushing of the machine. The salt tank is filled with a reagent (NaCl, in salt tablets) for resin regeneration. Depending on the amount of resin and the quality of the water, the machine has a certain amount of water to be cleaned.

FILTER MANAGEMENT

AKVAFORS SF series equipment is equipped with a RUNXIN'' control unit complete with a flow meter, which rinses the filters according to the amount of water consumed. Thanks to the flow meter, flushing will be carried out according to the set amount of water. The flow meter saves rinsing water and salt. The device can be equipped with a bypass line, which allows you to quickly disconnect the device and perform preventive maintenance. In the control unit, all information is saved even if the electricity goes out. The device has many parameters that can be adjusted according to your needs, such as rinsing time, frequency, reagent consumption, etc. It is possible for the device to change the degree of water hardness with a specific control unit housing (additional equipment). The device also performs the function of deironing water, but the iron content must not exceed _____ mg/l.

OPERATION OF THE EQUIPMENT

Although salt tablets are used for plant regeneration, the water after the filter can be used for drinking and other necessities of human life. The device requires connection to electricity (one outlet), sewage and incoming/outgoing water pipe with a minimum pressure of 2.5 bar. The device can be placed in wet rooms or in underground shafts made of ropes.
