Akvafors CF 0735 - Filters to eliminate organic matter (color)

The Akvafors CF 0735 filter is designed to remove organic substances, colour, and odour from water. It utilises the macroporous, strongly basic anion exchange resin Purolite A502PS, which is specifically engineered to effectively eliminate humic and fulvic acids that impart a yellowish or brownish tint to water.

Operating Principle of the CF 0735 Filter with Purolite A502PS:

1. Incoming Water Filtration: Water enters the column and comes into contact with the Purolite A502PS resin.

2. Adsorption of Organic Substances: The resin efficiently binds organic compounds responsible for water discolouration and unpleasant odours. Its macroporous structure provides a high capacity for large organic molecules.

Brine Tank Operation Process:

1. Salt Storage: Tablet or granulated salt is loaded into the tank and gradually dissolves in the added water.

2. Brine Formation: A solution forms in the tank, necessary for resin regeneration. The system automatically adds a specific amount of water to dissolve the salt.

3. Regeneration: After resin saturation, the system initiates regeneration by supplying the brine solution to the resin column, removing accumulated contaminants and restoring filtration properties.

4. Waste Rinse: Post-regeneration, the spent solution is discharged from the system through drainage.
