The Akvafors CF 0735 filter is designed to remove organic substances, colour, and odour from water. It utilises the macroporous, strongly basic anion exchange resin Purolite A502PS, which is specifically engineered to effectively eliminate humic and fulvic acids that impart a yellowish or brownish tint to water.

Operating Principle of the CF 0735 Filter with Purolite A502PS:

  1. Incoming Water Filtration: Water enters the column and comes into contact with the Purolite A502PS resin.

  2. Adsorption of Organic Substances: The resin efficiently binds organic compounds responsible for water discolouration and unpleasant odours. Its macroporous structure provides a high capacity for large organic molecules.

  3. Colour Removal: The resin eliminates humic substances and other organic compounds, enhancing water clarity and taste.

  4. Regeneration: Once saturated, the resin is regenerated using a sodium chloride (NaCl) solution, restoring its filtration properties.

Construction of the CF 0735 Filter:

  • Column Dimensions: Diameter of approximately 18 cm and height of 76 cm, standard for systems of this type.

  • Filtration Material: The Purolite A502PS resin is housed within the column, ensuring effective removal of organic substances.

Maintenance and Regeneration:

  • Regeneration Frequency: Dependent on water contamination levels and consumption volume; typically performed every few weeks or months.

  • Water Consumption Monitoring: Higher consumption or significant contamination necessitates more frequent regeneration.

System Advantages:

  • Effective Colour and Odour Removal: Purolite A502PS resin provides a high degree of purification from organic substances, improving water quality.

  • Durability: With proper maintenance, the filter maintains its efficiency over an extended period.

Brine Tank (Rectangular):

  • Model: Canature BTS-70

  • Volume: 70 litres

  • Components: Body, float cylinder, float, overflow elbow, bottom perforated grate

  • Tank Dimensions: Length 332 mm, width 332 mm, height 880 mm

Brine Tank Operation Process:

  1. Salt Storage: Tablet or granulated salt is loaded into the tank and gradually dissolves in the added water.

  2. Brine Formation: A solution forms in the tank, necessary for resin regeneration. The system automatically adds a specific amount of water to dissolve the salt.

  3. Regeneration: After resin saturation, the system initiates regeneration by supplying the brine solution to the resin column, removing accumulated contaminants and restoring filtration properties.

  4. Waste Rinse: Post-regeneration, the spent solution is discharged from the system through drainage.

Utilising the CF 0735 filter with Purolite A502PS resin ensures effective removal of organic contaminants, enhancing drinking water quality. Regular maintenance and timely regeneration guarantee the system's longevity.
