Crystals of the so-called "zeolite", are produced and processed from sodium aluminosilicate using an exclusive technology, the company Mineral-Right (USA). Due to the unique crystal structure of Crystal - Right ™, its use makes it possible to simultaneously carry out the processes of softening, deironing, removal of manganese and conditioning (an increase in the pH value).
The use of a special modification of Crystal-Right ™ extended spectrum of action (CR100) also allows you to remove ammonium compounds and small amounts of hydrogen sulfide, thereby increasing the filtering properties.
Unlike spherical resins, Crystal - Right ™ crystals provide better filtration, but are more thoroughly and more quickly cleaned by backwashing than conventional resins without loss of product. The asymmetric surface of zeolite crystals provides much more opportunities for ion exchange than is possible with the smooth, round surface of resin balls. In addition, Crystal-Right ™ has a very high resistance to active chlorine and other strong oxidizing agents, which allows for the rehabilitation of equipment without any harmful effects on the filter material. Thus, Crystal-Right ™ is ideal for use in the case of working with chlorinated water.
Crystal-Right ™ loading units are regenerated with a saturated sodium chloride solution, similar to standard water softening systems. At the same time, after each regeneration cycle, the loading capacity for hardness cations, iron and manganese is fully restored. Plant capacity is indicated for filtration rates of 20–40 m / h in accordance with the recommendations of the manufacturer Crystal-Right ™ for filter materials.

A few basic rules when using Crystal-Right ™:
TDS (total salt content): should be at least 80 mg / l. An insufficient amount of TDS can lead to the destruction of the quartz structure, turning it into gelatinous porridge. If the pH is below 4.5, this will cause the same effects, so avoid dry cleaning with acidic substances.
Sodium: Sodium in water reduces the emollient abilities of Crystal-Right. Each mg / l of sodium is equivalent to 2 mg / l of water hardness.
Minimum hardness: the minimum hardness should be at least 1 mg-eq / l, which is required to activate the ionization of iron and manganese.
If the filter cycle is exceeded during operation, it is necessary to carry out 2 or 3 successive regenerations to restore the full load capacity.
