Sorbent Anthracite, 50 ltr bag

The filtering material Anthracite is intended for clarification of water.
The heterogeneity of the composition of the material allows the suspended particles to penetrate deeply into the layer of filter loading.
Due to its low density, the material is often used in multi-layered filters.

Due to the low weight of Anthracite particles, it is located above heavier loads (quartz sand, manganese green sand) to provide pre-filtration. Can be used with surfactants. Appearance - a crumb of black and asphalt color with metallic luster and grains of cubic or close to it form.

Anthracite filter material is used for:
  • For water treatment in the chemical water treatment system of CHP, GRES, NPP;
  • As a support layer for ion exchange resins to improve water quality;
  • For mechanical water treatment in the system of water utilities, to increase the capacity of the cleaning capacity;
  • For industrial wastewater treatment, sewage after biological filters, etc.
Techical specifications:
  • Expansion layer: 50%;
  • Hardness: 3.0-3.8 (Mohs scale).
Filter material Anthracite can be used in open and closed filters, contact clarifiers. It is used for single-layer and multi-layer loading of mechanical filters. In combination with quartz sand it allows to achieve the following results:
  • Greater water filtration rate and improved filtrate quality at the outlet;
  • Higher degree of dirt-loading capacity (compared to single-layer sand);
  • Reducing coagulant and flocculant doses by 25-30%Ultimately, not only is the amount of wash water reduced, but also the backwash time of the filter by 30–40%.
